Timothy Harder is Peak Capital's financial analyst. His responsibilities include working with our Financial Consultants to design, implement, and evaluate asset allocation strategies that help manage risk and optimize performance for our clients--based on our clients' financial goals, time frames, and risk tolerance. His expertise in financial, tax, retirement, and estate planning, as well as his knowledge of employee benefits, investment management, and insurance allow him to provide the assistance and insight needed to pursue any financial goal. With an impressive educational background and more than a decade of experience in investment analysis and portfolio management, Tim is an invaluable resource for our consultants and their clients. Tim graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate; earned a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, a three-year program of study that is ranked as the gold standard for financial analysis by The Economist ; and was awarded a Certified Financial Planner® designation--an honor that requires ongoing adherence to a strict code of ethical conduct. Tim also holds a National Association of Securities Dealer's Series 7, and is a member of the board of the CFA Society of Colorado. Tim plays an integral role in shaping Peak Capital's investment philosophy and process. He understands the diverse investment opportunities available in developed and emerging countries throughout the world--including stocks, bonds, funds, real estate, alternative investments, and others--as well as the effect of various market environments and economic cycles on different types of opportunities. He relies on Modern Portfolio Theory, a process of developing risk-efficient portfolios that have the potential to maximize returns, to help Peak Capital clients pursue their long-term financial goals. As Tim says, "Our investment process is designed to try to level out any bumps in the road so that you can stay on the path." Prior to joining Peak Capital Investment Services, Tim worked with Kummer Financial Strategies and Financial Network. At both firms his responsibilities included investment analysis and portfolio and risk management. Most recently, at Kummer Financial, he redeveloped an established investment management program, improving the firm's ability to evaluate asset correlations, tracking error, sector and security concentrations, and the effect of derivative assets and leverage, as well as identify less apparent risks by evaluating qualitative markers. Tim is married and has two young daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid Broncos fan, loves trivia, and is a sharp card player.
