Joshua B. Smith is a classic example of the coined phrase "was raised right". His foundation for commitment, hard work and lasting relationships stems from growing up in an environment that fostered these values. Joshua began his career in finance in 2004 after attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. While he believes in higher education he also feels strongly that you must also dive in to your career with passion when he states, "When I do something, I always give it my 100%." Joshua's approach to financial planning and welcoming demeanor immediately make his clients feel comfortable and at ease – especially when they talk about their personal finances and future retirement plans. He goes the extra mile by finding out about their individual situations including things like marriage, divorce, children as well as mortgage and luxury purchases. Prior to joining Peak Capital, Joshua was with JP Morgan/Chase and a boutique mortgage company in Oklahoma. His experience involved individual investment accounts of all sizes, retail lending, small business accounts, workplace financial services, building client relationships, marketing and advertising as well as having an extensive technical/computer background. Additionally, Joshua's skillful expertise in mortgage lending, amidst underwriters, title companies and property appraisals, helped guide individuals through financial decisions required to complete difficult mortgage agreements. On a personal note, Joshua is a huge outdoor buff and loves being in the mountains or at the lake. Whether biking, hiking, skiing or snowboarding – if it's outdoors, you will find him there. He also has a history in community service with organizations' such as the Big Brothers/Big Sisters and AIDS Foundation in Dallas, becoming a volunteer coach and trainer at the age of fourteen and now is mentoring a young man in the Big Brother program.
